Canton – William "Jack" Riley Dixon, age 85, died Thursday, December 06, 2007 at Haywood Regional Medical Center.
He was a born in Inman, SC but had resided in Haywood County the last 40 years.
He was the son of H.M. and Bessie Hicks Dixon. He was preceded in death by his wife, Johncie Greene Dixon, who died in 1974; one sister, Mary Ann Trull; four brothers, Troy, H.M. Jr., Clinton, and Walter Dixon.
Jack was the owner and operator of Jack's Food Bar in Canton for fifteen years and enjoyed cooking for the entire family.
He loved fishing the streams and lakes of western North Carolina.
Jack served three years in the United States Army and retired a technical Sergeant from the Air Force after 25 years of service.
