Mildred Stevens, 84, Mahnomen, Minn., formerly Bagley, Minn., died Monday,
Dec. 9, 1996, in Mahnomen Health Care Center Nursing Home.

Mildred Hill was born Sept. 29, 1912, at Rice Lake, near Bagley, where she
grew up and attended school. In 1930 she married Lawrence Simon Stevens on
Rice Lake, where they lived. He died in 1977. She entered Mahnomen Health Care
Center in January.

She is survived by three sons, Bert (Lucy) and Ronald, Rice Lake, Donald,
Bagley; seven daughters, Rosie (Clarence) Beaulieu, Celestine Moose and
Roberta Cox, all Rice Lake, Ida Giard, Connie (Richard), LaFrinere and Bonnie
(Kenneth) LaFrinere, all Mahnomen, Minn., Yvonne Stevens, Bagley; a stepson,
Lawrence Stevens, Bagley; a stepdaughter, Mary Jane Murray, Bagley; a sister,
Hazel Goodwin, Bagley; 47 grandchildren, 135 great-grandchildren and 11
great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation: Thursday after 4 in Rice Lake Community Center and one hour before
the funeral in the church.

Funeral: Friday at 10 in Samuel Memorial Episcopal Church, Naytahwaush, Minn.

Burial: St. Philip's Episcopal Cemetery, Rice Lake.
