Teddy Ray Lee, 59 of Pittsburg, Ks died at 3:30pm, Monday, July 2, 2007 at Mt. Carmel Regional Medical Center in Pittsburg, KS. Teddy was born November 7, 1947 in Pittsburg, KS to Robert and Wilma M. (Shreve) Mays. He attended area schools, graduating from Pittsburg High School with the class of 1966.

Teddy served his country in the United States Army, during the Korean Conflict. He did his training in Fort Leonard Wood, MO. Then he went to San Antonio, TX for his Advanced Training for Combat Medic. Following that he was shipped over to South Korea for a year and half. He was honorably discharged on February 27, 1969, as anE-4.

Teddy worked for McNally's in 1969 as a machinist and then Montgomery Wards until 1983. He later worked for BF Goodrich in Pittsburg and most recently at Superior Industries.

Teddy was an avid NASCAR fan, college football and loved to put military models together.

Teddy played baseball in the American Legion League and was a teammate of the former Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Billy Russell.

Survivors include his mother Wilma Mays of Pittsburg; sons Jamie Lee of Pittsburg, KS, Brandon Lee of Kansas, Brandon Fry of Pittsburg, KS and Jeremy Lee of Clearwater, OK; daughters Misty Smith of Hepler, KS and Stephanie Lee of Clearwater, OK; brothers Bill Mays of Pittsburg, KS; sisters Judy Brooks of Manhattan, KS, Debbie Glisar of Pittsburg, KS, Roberta McCormick of Radley, KS and Maxine Span of Pittsburg, KS; along with 6 grandchildren.

Teddy was preceded in death by his father; Brother Robert Mays and son Michael Lee.

Graveside services will be 11:00am, Saturday, July 7, 2007 at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Pittsburg with Rev. James E. Smith officiating. Family and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home on Saturday to go in procession. Flag presentation will be given by the Ft. Riley Funeral Honors Detail Team. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Friday at Bath-Naylor Funeral Home, 522 S. Broadway in Pittsburg, Ks. Friends may call the funeral home after 4pm on Friday.
