Helen Chapman, 78, of Plainview, passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2008, at Santa Fe House in Plainview. Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Monday, November 10, 2008, at College Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Don Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.

Helen was born on August 31, 1930 in Mangum, Oklahoma to Ozzo and Emma Clark. She grew up in Mangum and graduated Centravue High School in 1948. She married Cliff Chapman in 1953. She was a homemaker. She was a Cub Scout leader and Girl Scout leader and volunteer track coach. She owned and operated Dargens and the Village Shop with her husband for many years. She later worked for Marse and Sons and Gabriels before retiring in 2003. She was a member of College Heights Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son, Clark Chapman of Owasso, Oklahoma; two daughters, Linda Bearrow of Norman, Oklahoma, Judy Dwyer of Plainview, Texas; Seven Grandchildren and Three Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cliff Chapman and two brothers, Robbie and Clarence Clark.
