From the obituary: William Fox Seay, of Kingville, died at the home of his daughter, Shiver Ida (Mrs. R.J. Walker), on the night of December 26, 1911. He was 66 years of age and a veteran of the War Between the Sections having been a member of the company which the late J. Hampton Brooks commanded. Ever since the war he had been living on his farm at Kingville.

He was twice married, first to Anne Yancey Seay and after her death, to her sister Frances Marilla Yancey. He was the son of James H. Seay and Sarah Carter Seay and grandson of John Seay and Pauline Nassery Seay.
