Gerstle,of Nederland, passed away Tuesday at his residence.
A native of Mississippi he had lived in Nederland for over thirty-three years and was a retired Operator for Ameripol Synpol in Port Neches for thirty years. He was also a World War II Navy Veteran where he received the Bronze Medal.
Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann Sturdivant; daughters, Lydia Duncan and Sharon Sturdivant; son, Spikes Sturdivant, Jr. and his wife, Michele Rene; sister, Sybil Gilder; five grandchildren, Keith Duncan and Summer Duncan, Brian Buckalew, Hannah Michele Sturdivant and Abbey Gayle Sturdivant.
