Mazie Kathryn Shupp, 98, entered into rest at the home of her daughter on Thursday, October 23, 2008. She was born in Fritztown, Spring Twp., a daughter of the late Peter H. and Carrie Hermina Krick Miller. She was the wife of the late Stanley Shupp who died in 1963. A member of Peace UCC of Swartzville, she worked 27 years at the former J. J. Newberry Store of Ephrata. Surviving are her daughter, Margaret J. Robinson, with who she resided, 2 grandsons, Ken Robinson and Brian Robinson, three great grandsons, two great great granddaughters, and two brothers, Peter H. Miller of Myerstown and Ralph J., husband of Hilda Miller of Ephrata. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by an infant son, and sisters, Helen Adams and Minerva M. Fitterling. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 P.M., Sunday, October 26th at the Stradling Funeral Home, 30 N. 9th St., Akron with the funeral service at 2 P.M. on Monday, October 27, 2008 at the funeral home with Rev. William E. Hoch officiating. Interment will follow in the Muddy Creek Cemetery, East Cocalico Township.
