June Battenfield, age 85 of Harrison, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Harrison.
The daughter of O. L. Morris and Edna C. (Edmonson) Morris, she was born August 7, 1923 at Bellefonte, AR. She had lived her lifetime in Boone County and was of Assembly of God Faith. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, working in her flowers and embroidery work.

Her parents preceded her in death along with her husband, Frank Battenfield in 1974; two sisters, and one brother.

Survivors include her daughter and husband, Virginia and Harold Lee Paul of Harrison; her son and his wife, Luther and Gale Battenfield of Green Forest, AR; three grandchildren, Cindy, Jeff and Teresa; five great grandchildren, Emily, Jeremiah, Jacob, Taylor and Madison; along with several nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Open visitation will be during business hours 8-5 Friday at Coffman Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at Maplewood Cemetery on Saturday, 2:00 PM.

The nursing staff of Hillcrest Nursing Home is recognized as Honorary Pallbearers.
