Born to Oliver Perry OP (1865-1950) & Anna McKibben (1868-1950) Wimmer.

He was the third of 5 siblings who ALL lived into their 90's:
Archie Nicolson Wimmer (1892-1987)
John Paul Wimmer (1894-1987)
Scott
Helen Mayer (1901-2000)
Dorothy Wimmer Fleischer (1905-1996).

He married his third cousin, Flo Ellen Wimmer from Liberal, Kansas. Both from Liberal of different states and same last names is how they met one another.

After meeting his betrothed, Scott served in the Army Reserves, attended Dental School and set up practice and their first home in Cherokee, Kansas. They were then married July 9, 1921.

They raised two daughters, Danalee Saar (1922-2004) and Jeanette E Bottoms (1926-2016).
