MRS. J. PATTON DIES MONDAY
Weeks Illness Causes Death of Bucyrus Woman; Funeral Will Be Held Thursday Afternoon
Complications climaxed by pneumonia, caused the death of Mrs. Addie Reel Patton, who died at her home 924 Maple Street, Monday night at ten o'clock. She had been ill less than a week and her death comes as a shock to her close friends. Addie Reel was born in Indiana, March 6, 1870 but with her family moved to Kansas shortly afterward. After her marriage Sept. 1890, to John Patton, she moved to Ohio becoming a residence of Nevada. The family moved to Bucyrus after a few years where they have lived ever since.
To the Patton union eleven children were born, nine of whom survive. They are: Mrs. Nellie Ball, George, Lester, Cecil, Reel, Chesney, Henry, and Mrs. Elizabeth Garner, all of Bucyrus; and Mrs. Dulcie Stenborg, of Chicago. Mrs. Patton was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church and an active member of the Daughters of America.
Funeral services are to be held Thursday, Nov. 13 at two thirty p.m. from the Munz Funeral Home, Rev. Roy S. Bowers of the St. Paul Lutheran Church, will officiate and interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Munz will be in charge. Friends may call at the home Wednesday.

RESOLUTIONS OF RESPECT IN MEMORY OF SISTER ADDIE PATTON:
We pause again in our Fraternal Circle to pay tribute of respect to our departed Sister Addie Patton, who became a member of this Council Dec. 7th 1912, and for eighteen years was associated with this Council. Her presence among us was not frequent but through her efforts of membership we know she believed and upheld the principles for which this noble order stands.

Sister Patton's life was one of usefulness, her devotion to her home and children and her doing for others made her cross a heavy burden which she bore with great fortitude. Four years ago she was stricken with sickness and it was feared that her end was near, but by the grace of Him above her life was spared, but she never gained her usual health again, but her last illness was of short duration and she fell asleep on the 10th of November, 1930, leaving her husband, six sons, and three daughters to mourn the loss of a devoted Wife and Mother. Therefore be it resolved: That we as Daughters of America extend to this bereaved Family our hand of Fraternal sympathy.

And be it further resolved: That the Charter of this Council be draped for a period of thirty days in remembrance of our departed Sister and that a copy of these Resolutions be extended the family.
Someday my work will all be done, and I shall fall asleep, But oh, what joy to know that I shall wake to never weer; For where I go we know that God has promised perfect rest, And peace for every aching heart, and every troubled breast; And love more lasting than our own, He'll give to me to keep, When all my burdens are laid down, and I have gone to sleep.
