Leicester - Minnie G. Justice Lusk, 91, of Clark Cove Road, passed away Thursday, October 16, 2008, at the Brian Center in Weaverville.
Mrs. Lusk was born March 20, 1917, to the late Amy Wright Justice and the late John Justice. She had resided in Buncombe County most of her life and retired from the Buncombe County School System in 1978. She was a member of Big Sandy Mush Methodist Church in Leicester. Mrs. Lusk had provided compassionate love and care as a caregiver to several
families in the Leicester and Asheville area. She will always be remembered for her kindness and willingness to open her heart and her home to children in need.
She was preceded in death by her husband the late Norval Lusk; and two infant daughters; two sisters, Gladys Surrett and Eula Suttles; two brothers, Raymond Justice and Albert Justice.
Surviving are her sister, Ethel Hudgins, of Leicester; and her brother, Wilburn Justice, of Leicester; also several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Monday at Big Sandy Mush Methodist Church with the Rev. Ed Worley officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.
Interment will be in Big Sandy Mush Methodist Church Cemetery.
