Elden Alder Sorenson, born November 13, 1905 in Manti, Utah, died May 23, 1997. Born to Niels Andrew Sorenson and Elvira Jane Alder. Married Donna Finlinson on January 10, 1933 in the Manti Temple who preceded him in death. Married Belva Sorenson December 16, 1986 [or 01 Dec 1986 from Western States Marriage Index] in the Manti Temple. Owned Sorenson's Service Cleaners and Laundry and Artic [Arctic] Circle in Delta, Utah for over 35 years. Active in civic and church organizations, President of Delta Lions Club, Stake Superintendent of 15 years, and Ward Sunday School Superintendent for seven years. Elden loved music and was a soloist for the "Sentinals" male chorus and played with the "Foot Warmers Orchestra." Elden was a High Priest and served for 13 years as a Manti Temple worker. Survived by wife, Belva; daughter, Carol Dawn (Ken) Kendrick; grandchildren, Cyndi (Matt) Norris and Douglas Kendrick; three great-grandchildren; several step-children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; brother, Glenn (Ethel) Sorenson. Preceded in death by son, Douglas and sister, Erma Nielson. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 12 noon on Tuesday at Memorial Estates Mortuary (5850 S 900 E).
