Hedwig A. "Hattie" Carter Age 79, formerly of Coffee Run, Condominiums in Hockessin, died at her son's residence in Milford on Thursday, January 20. Mrs. Carter was a homemaker and a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Milford. When she resided in New Castle County, she was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Hockessin and of Cavaliers Country Club. She was predeceased by 2 sons, Edwin C. and Arthur W. Carter. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Edwin W.; 2 sons, John P. with whom she lived and Thomas W. of Wilmington; 15 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 24 at 11:30 am at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 7200 Lancaster Pike, Hockessin. Friends are invited to call at MEALEY FUNERAL HOME, Limestone and Milltown Roads, Wilmington on Monday morning from 10-11 am. Entombment will be at All Saints Cemetery, Wilmington.
