Nicholas P. Harder was the son of Joh. Peter Herder (born in Germany) & Anna Maria Schaffer (born NY). He was baptized 24 Jun 1770 at Germantown Ref. Ch., Columbia Co., NY. and married Magdalena Roos (1768-1836) there 13 May 1792.
About 1805, the family moved upstate to Montgomery, then Saratoga Counties, before buying land in Livonia and settling there in 1828.
Nicholas & Lena had 6 children:
