On September 11, 2001, the rescuers at the World Trade Center not only saved over 25,000 lives--they saved America. They reaffirmed the spirit and courage of a people who live in freedom, a people who live in a nation of laws fairly administered to ensure equality of opportunity for all, a people who will sacrifice their lives to protect our freedom. Our mourning will be with us until we perish; their heroism will live forever.
