She was very active with the church, most notably her women's circle. She enjoyed the theatre and was a big Oakland A's fan. Mildred enjoyed playing Bingo and doing "Find-a-Word" puzzles. Mildred was married for 37 years and never remarried after the death of her husband, Robert Wheeler, 31 years ago. Beloved mother of Millie Palmer of Dublin, CA and Roberta Wheeler of Visalia, CA; caring mother-in-law of Norman Palmer of Dublin, CA; cherished grandmother of Chuck Palmer and his wife, Michele of Brentwood, CA, Dawn Palmer and her fiance, Glenn Moriyama of Danville, CA; dearest great grandmother of Andrew Palmer of Brentwood, CA. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 24, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Hayward, 2490 Grove Way, Castro Valley, CA 94546. Any memorial contributions should be made to the First Presbyterian Church in honor of Mildred.
