Joseph Thomas Bush, 85, of Elizabethtown, died Wednesday, October 8, 2008, at Kensington Manor. He was a native of Hardin County and was a World War II Army veteran in the 25th Infantry. He was a member of Cecilia Baptist Church and the American Legion Post #113. He retired from Kroger after 37 and a half years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl E. Sr. & Jessie Florence Thomas Bush; and a brother, Carl E. Bush Jr. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Buckles Bush; two sons, Robert Joseph Bush & Rebecca C. of Elizabethtown and James Randall Bush & Debra R. of Elizabethtown; one sister, Mary Belle Stiles of Howe Valley; six brothers, Richard E. Baughman, W.R. Bush, Charles W. Bush, Bobby G. Bush, James A. Bush and Kenneth H. Bush, all of Elizabethtown; five grandchildren, Robert J. Bush II, Melanie C. Bush, Randall Casey Bush and Tyler Ray Bush, all of Elizabethtown, and Nancy A. Bush McCoy & Jeff of Vine Grove; two step-grandchildren, Dustin Cain & Kristin of Elizabethtown and Jon C. Cain of Charleston, SC; and three great-grandchildren, Brittany Chenault, J.T. Chenault and Dillan Baird. The funeral is at 2 p.m. Saturday at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with the Rev. Don Flanigan officiating. Burial will follow at Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 3-8 p.m. today and after 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to American Legion Post #113 Building Fund.
