Mrs. Mary Collier 1912-2008

Mary Magdalene (Delaney) Collier passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 17, 2003 at the Rimbey Health Care Centre at the age of 91 years. Mary was born in Delphi, Indiana on February 17, 1912, the youngest of three children. She grew up in Logansport, Indiana. On May 15, 1939 Mary was united in marriage to Charles Edward Collier. They lived in various locations of eastern Indiana and while they were living in Connersville, three sons were born to them. In July 1962 Mary, Charles, and their youngest son Fred moved to the Leslieville district of Alberta, Canada. They later moved to an acreage in the Hespero district, where she lived until December 2002. Mary enjoyed her vegetable and flower gardens, playing cards, and especially loved camping and quading in the West country of Alberta. Many winter vacations were enjoyed by Mary near Yuma, Arizona. Mary is survived by her husband of 63 years, Charles, her children Wayne (Judy) of Connersville, Indiana and Fred (Lois) of Red Deer, Alberta, her seven grandchildren, Patrick (Dawn) of Indianapolis, Indiana, Michele of Connersville, Indiana, Brad of Connersville, Indiana, Brent (Tracey) of Indianapolis, Indiana, Andrea (Mark) Harmeyer of Milton, Indiana, Stephen (Yuga) of Langley, British Columbia, and James (Kelly) of Marysville, Washington and twelve great grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her eldest son Edward (Carol) of Connersville, Indiana on October 12, 1998. A memorial service will be held at the Hespero Community Hall on Friday, April 25, 2003 at 2:00 PM conducted by Father Paul Moret. If friends desire, tributes may be made to St. Matthew's Parish, Rocky Mountain House.
