Raymond J. Olthof, 91, of Arizona City, died June 5, 2006 at Harmony House Adult Care Home.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Monday at Sonland Lutheran Church in Casa Grande. The funeral there will follow at 10. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.

Mr. Olthof was born June 5, 1915 in Chicago. He was a minister with Reform Church of America for 33 years, serving churches in the Midwest, California and New Jersey. He and his late wife, Esther M., were winter visitors to the area.

He enjoyed sailing, camping and golf. A high school basketball player in high school and college, he was an avid Suns fan.

He was a volunteer chaplain at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center and enjoyed living and sharing his faith in Jesus Christ.

Survivors include two daughters: Dolly McIlroy, of Syracuse, NY, and Judy Clover, of Boiling Springs, NC; son, John Olthof, of Sierra Vista; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Theodore.
