James married Sally(Sarah)Payne. Sally was one of 18 children of Noah and Eunice Payne early settlers of Fort Miller, NY. James' father Conrade immigrated from Germany about 1754. James and Sally produced seven children including Thomas W. Cramer, father of Sarah Caroline Cramer, mother of Henry Cramer Peck. James was a Northumberland Supervisor in 1822. In 1922, two of his grandsons ran for supervisor - Henry C. Peck and Van Wyck Burt. In the 1990's Dave Bixby said his stone was down, broken and mostly buried. He got the death date from C. Durkee's 1878 report. In 0ct 2008 I found the stone mostly covered as you can see at left. His younger brother Conrade 1775-1855 is also buried in this cemetery. James Cramer's parent's graves and and another brother George were found in an overgrown cemetery on Casey Road near Quaker Springs in 2008. His youngest brother John was born in a wagon in 1779 while escaping hostilities of the revolution. John became a NYS congressman. John Cramer's amazing story and family is a Findagrave # 7647831.
