MRS. MAGOUIRK

VALLEY -- Mrs. Alberta Magouirk, 101, of Valley died Saturday, May 10, 1997, at George H. Lanier Memorial Nursing Home in Valley.

Funeral services were held Sunday, May 11, at 2 p.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley with the Rev. Mike Blair officiating. Burial followed in Fairfax Cemetery in Valley.

Mrs. Magouirk is survived by two daughters, Gladys Nelson of Mobile and Willie Jarvis of Valley' two grandchildren, Mrs. Patti (Jimmy) Barnes of Valley and Mrs. Donald (Madge) Robinson of Mobile; six grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren.

Born June 8, 1895, in Elmore County, Ala., Mrs. Magouirk was a member of Fairfax First Bptist Church in Valley. She had lived in the Valley area most of her life and had been very active in her church. Mrs. Magouirk was a retired employee of WestPoint Pepperell, having worked in Fairfax and Shawmut Mills.

Memorial may be made to Fairfax Baptist Church or to Chattahoochee Hospice in memory of Mrs Magouirk.

Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley is handling arrangements.
