Irene Aldama, 82, died Friday, September 26, 2008 in Corsicana, Texas. She was born on October 20, 1925 in Irving, Texas to Felipe and Carmen Herrera. She was a homemaker. She was a mother of five wonderful children. She was preceded in death by her husband John Aldama, grandson Joshua Aldama, parents Felipe & Carmen Herrera, siblings Andres (Andy) Herrera, Jessie Guzman, Concepcion (Concha) Herrera, Petra (Betty) Gonzalez, Guillermo (Willie) Herrera, Genovera (Genie) Chavarria and Jose (Joe) Herrera. She is survived by two sons Robert Aldama of Corsicana, and David and wife Pam of Corsicana; three daughters Rose Aldama of Corsicana, Mary Elizabeth Tallant of Pursley and Cynthia Garcia and husband Leon of Corsicana; three sisters Juanita Vasquez and Helen Garcia both of Michigan, and Carmen Zarate of Tennesee; ten grandchildren Jonathon Aldama, John Aldama, Anthony Aldama, Leslie Melton, Lisa Randolph, Crystal Farmer, Stacie Rodriguez, Christian Garcia, Richardo Garcia, and Justin Aldama; four great grandchildren Alexah Melton, Daniel Rodriguez Jr., Caleb Aldama, Madison Aldama and one on the way.
Service is scheduled for Monday, September 29. 2008 at the Griffin-Roughton Chapel at 10:00 a.m. with Ron Motley officiating with burial following in the Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Sunday, September 28, 2008 from 6-8 pm at the Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home.
