MISS ETHA A. BYER, 270 S. Potomac St., died at Garlock Convalescent Home Thursday at 7:30 a.m., of complications, after an illness of over three years, aged 83 years.
She was born and reared at Waynesboro, Pa., the daughter of the late John B. and Susan Stoner Byer. She has been living in Hagerstown for the past fifty years. In her early life she was employed at the Humeric House Department Store, and later at Eyerly's, retiring 25 years ago. She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ.
Surviving are five nieces.
The body was taken to the funeral home of A. K. Coffman, where services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Arthur L. Grove. Burial will be in Burns Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro, Pa.
