OBITUARY :
JOHN B. BYER DIES AT HIS HOME IN CHAMBERSBURG - Father D. Stoner Byer, Near Waynesboro - Internment in Burns Hill Cemetery - MORE THAN FOUR-SCORE YEARS - John B. Byer, aged 83 Yrs.

John B. Byer died at his home, No. 300 East King street, Chambersburg, Saturday at 2 p. m., after a week's illness, aged 83 years, 1 month and 19 days.

He was a member of the firm of Byer Bros. florists. Despite his great age, he was active about the greenhouse until his fatal illness seized him.

He is survived by his widow and these children: Edgar Byer, Hagerstown; D. Stoner Byer, Waynesboro; Charles A., Chambersburg; E. Wilbur Byer, Mentor, Ohio; Miss Etha Byer, at home. He was the last of his family.

Mr. Byer was a resident of Waynesboro for twenty-five years, removing to Chambersburg about 15 years ago. His widow is a sister of the late David Stoner, father of Mrs. H. E. Flanegan.

Funeral, Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock. After the service the body will be brought to Waynesboro on the 9:56 a. m. C. V. train, where interment will be made in Burns Hill cemetery.

The funeral cortege will return to Chambersburg on the 12:20 C. V. train.
