Vincent J. Isele, Jr. - Pueblo Chieftain - July 01, 2003 - Vincent J. Isele, Jr., 82, was born Oct. 11, 1920, in Memphis, Tenn., and passed away in Pueblo on June 29, 2003. Husband of Eleanor Isele, who preceded him in death on Feb. 25, 1992. He is survived by his daughters, Judith M. (Tony W. "Butch") Wodishek, Pueblo, Dianne M. (Jimmy D., deceased) Newbill, Silt, Sheri A. Isele, Lafayette, and Mary I. (Wayne A.) Overby, Fort Collins, Colo. Grandfather of Mark Wodishek, Christina, Bonnie (Jay Bonser), and Matthew Newbill, Tim and Katie Langhart, and Joey and Kenny Overby. Also survived by great-grandson, Andrew Bonser; brother, John W. (Mary E.) Isele, W. Memphis, Ark.; and stepsisters, Elizabeth "Liz" Morgan, Louisiana, and Martha Tennant of Florida. Preceded in death also by his sister, Shirley Watts. Mr. Isele was a veteran of World War II, having served with the 5th Army Air Corps, 90th B.G. as a navigator. He worked for 40 years with Southern Colorado Power and CENTEL, retiring in January 1986, as manager of engineering. He was a member of the 90th B.G. Association, the 5th Air Force Memorial Association, a life member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and of the Power Engineering Society. He also was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Ecclesia Dei Latin Mass Community, Fountain. Recitation of the rosary, 7 p.m. Wednesday, and funeral Mass, 10 a.m. Thursday, both services at St. Mary Church. Interment, Roselawn Cemetery with military honors by the Pueblo Veterans Ritual Team. The family respectfully requests the omission of food and flowers. Friends who wish may make donations to the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter or to St. Mary Church in care of the funeral home office.
