She was the wife of the late Julian Lee Wolfe.
Mrs. Wolfe was born September 1, 1934 in Bath County, the daughter of the late Frank Stanley, Sr. and Sarah Shaffer Stanley.
She retired from the Laundry Department of the Homestead with thirty-four years service.
Mrs. Wolfe was a member of Hot Springs Presbyterian Church and enjoyed sewing, flowers and any outdoor activity.
Mrs. Wolfe is survived by three sons, William "Billy" Wolfe, Sr. and wife, Debby of Warm Springs, Julian F. Wolfe and wife, Sunny of Williamsburg, James R. Wolfe and wife, Darlene of Keezletown; one sister, Betsy Wolfe of Siler City, NC; eight grandchildren, Crystal L., William L., Cory D., Tiffany L., Michael J., Rachel M., Pamela D., Melissa; a number of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Wolfe was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Stanley and George Stanley; one sister, Cathren Stanley.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 29, 2011 from Hot Springs Presbyterian Church with Rev. Glenn Coleman officiating. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to service. Interment will follow in Warm Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Timmy May, Kurt Smith, Dr. James Redington, Cory Wolfe, William Wolfe, Jr. and Richard Byrd.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. at Loving Funeral Home.
