Tom Taylor, age 45, of St. Martin passed away Friday, July 27, 2007 in his home to be with the Lord.
He was born in Bristol, TN. on March 17, 1962. He has been a resident of St. Martin since 1980.
He was diagnosed with cancer in 2004. Mr. Taylor was employed with Jumonville Hardwood Floors for 22 years.
He had a passion and love for woodworking, fishing, hunting, 4-wheel-riding, and enjoyed doing these activities with his kids.
He was a devoted husband, father, and friend to many. He never met a stranger and will deeply be missed by all who knew him.
Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his parents, David and Hazel Taylor, his brother Charlie Taylor, and his mother-in-law Ethel Davis.
Survivors include his loving wife Kathy Taylor, daughter Jessica Taylor, two sons, Cody Taylor, Tom Taylor and his fiance Alecia Burke, two adorable grandchildren, Caitlin and Chloe Taylor, all of St. Martin; his sisters, Lisa (Anthony) Williams of Bristol, TN., Jackie Taylor of Blountville, TN., Teresa (Dennis) Green of Bluff City, TN., and his brothers, David McGuire (Louella) McGuire of Bristol, TN., Wayne (Betty) McGuire of Elizabethton, TN, Fred (Angie) Taylor of Blountville, TN. He also loved all his nieces, nephews, and sisters and brother-in-laws.
He atended Movella Assembly of God in Lucedale, MS. His Pastor was Alan Hinton. He thought the world of Brother Alan for helping him through his final days.
Visitation will be on Monday, July 30, 2007, from 5-8 PM at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home. On Tuesday, July 31, 2007, there will be an 11:00 AM funeral service with a procession. Burial will follow in Swetman Memorial Park in D'Iberville, MS.
