Kacey Michael Adams, 22, of Excelsior Springs, MO passed away unexpectedly Monday September 15, 2008 at his home.
Born December 4, 1985 in Excelsior Springs, MO he was the son of Mark William Wagner and Jimi Lynn Adams. He was preceded in death by his father on June 14, 2008; one uncle, Travis Wagner; his maternal grandparents, J.T. "Jimmie" and Audrey Adams and his paternal grandmother Thelma Marie Schwab.
He is survived by his mother, Jimi Adams of the home; his daughter, Emma K. of Kearney, MO; one sister, Kylie Whitcomb of Lawson, MO; one half-sister, Tommy Mae Wagner of Kansas; his grandparents, Lloyd and Mary Beth Wagner of Rush Center, KS; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Kacey was a 2004 graduate of Excelsior Springs High School. As a Vo-Tech student he began working at Waller Trucking in Excelsior Springs as a mechanic in 2003 and he was employed with them at the time of his death.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, four-wheeling and had competed in local arm wresting competitions. He most enjoyed spending time with his daughter and his family.
Funeral services will be held Saturday September 20, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the Polley Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs, MO. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6 to 8 at the funeral home with the family receiving friends at that time. Burial will be at a later date in the Polley Cemetery in Excelsior Springs. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the Kacey Adams Memorial Fund, in care of Polley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 271 Excelsior Springs, MO 64024.
