Steve Abbott was born at Barksdale AFB, Louisiana on February 5, 1953 to the late Lt. Col. Walter L. and Barbara J. Abbott. He was a 1971 graduate of Cooper High School. He attended Texas Tech University. Steve worked as a truck driver for Central Freight Lines.
Survivors include his two daughters, Stacie of Billings, MT and Stephanie of Portland, OR; three grandsons, Dakota, Hunter and Cole of Billings, MT; former wife, Katherin of Billings, MT. He is also survived by his mother, Barbara J. Abbott of Abilene; his four brothers, Walter L. Abbott Jr. and wife Tina of Springtown, Gregory Abbott and wife Tina of Richardson, John Abbott of Denver, CO, Eric Abbott and wife Kim of Dallas; three sisters, Judy Bonham and husband Robert of Austin, Chris Glasgow and husband Leonard of Anson, Mary Milstead and husband Bill of Abilene; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be given to the American Heart Association, 149 N. Willis, Abilene, TX 79603, or your favorite charity.
