The homecoming celebration will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Oak Grove Baptist Church, East Gadsden, for Mrs. Alice Louise Bledsoe. The Rev. Grover Robinson will officiate. Burial will be in Lincoln Hill Memorial Park. West Gadsden Funeral Home directing.Mrs. Bledsoe leaves to cherish her memory, her two devoted children, daughter, Patricia L. (Samuel) Monroe, Fayetteville, Ga., and son, Major Lee (Mary) Bledsoe Jr., Irondale; five grandchildren, Eric Strickland, Nikki (Meryck) Collins, Jasmine, Jared and Jason Bledsoe; three great-grandchildren, Musa Abdulkabir, Imani and Noah Collins.She was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.Surviving siblings include sisters, Macie (Sammy) Walker, Lancaster, N.Y., Loette King, Gadsden, and Marie Holloway, Lanette; brother, Charlie (Janie) Kyles, Chattanooga, Tenn.; sisters-in-law, Carrie Evans, Jessie Eva Simpson and Vernia McCants; and brother-in-law, John T. "T Boy" Bledsoe; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and special circle of neighbors, loved ones and friends.
