Laura Jane (Boughton) Thompson was the daughter of Cephas and Mary (Hart) Boughton. She was the 2nd wife of Rev. Frank Charles Thompson. They were married Victor, New York September 15, 1887. Rev. Thompson was a minister in the Genesee Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church. He died May 3, 1940.

THOMPSON.--Mrs. Laura B. Thompson, widow of the late Rev. Frank C. Thompson, passed away at her home in Santa Monica, California, on October 28, 1957 at the age of 96 years. Mrs. Thompson was born at Victor, Ontario County, New York and in 1887 she married the Rev. Frank Thompson who was then pastor of the nearby church at Charlotte. To him she bore three children, Florence Elizabeth, Edith Alice and Paul Francis, all of whom preceded both the Rev. and Mrs. Thompson in death. He died in 194O. Prior to his retirement in 1924, the Rev. and Mrs. Thompson served the churches in Attica, Macedon, Fairport, Walworth, Oakfield, Mount Morris, Geneseo, Buffalo: Lovejoy and Buffalo: Richmond Avenue. And finally as Assistant to Bishop Ralph Spaulding Cushman at Rochester: Asbury Church. However, the Rev. Frank C. Thompson is best known as the author of the Thompson Chain-Reference Bible. Funeral services were conducted in Santa Monica on October 31st with interment in the Woodlawn Cemetery of Santa Monica.
