Marge Faye Tutko - Daily News (4-26-2008)

MARGE FAYE TUTKO Aug. 28, 1952 - April 19, 2008 She was born August 28, 1952 as Marge Faye Davis, daughter of Andrew James Davis and Margaret Mary (Pell) Davis of Sun Valley, California. She attended Polytechnic High School in Sun Valley. She also vigorously continued her advanced education by taking classes at the Los Angeles Pierce College, Woodland Hills, California. She successfully completed numerous Administrative-Secretarial Program Certifications and Seminars over the years, which to only menti on a few, the Padgett-Thompson Program Certification 1986 and Fred Pryor Secretarial Program in 1988 and 1989. Afterwards, Marge achieved and maintained numerous Executive Administrative positions within various industries and companies. August 1978 - December 1986 she served in the capacity as the Administrative Assistant to the Director of Manufacturing & Engineering for the Data Products Corporation in Woodland Hills, CA. March 1987 to August 1988 she served as the Senior Administrative Assistant fo r MICOM Systems, Inc. in Simi Valley CA. November 1988 to May 1991 she successfully held the position as Senior Project Administrator for the Rantec Microwave & Electronics Corporation in Chatsworth, California. During this time Marge took great pride in the fact that Rantec produced and implemented the Guidance Antenna System for the well-known Patriot Missile System used by the United States Military. 1991 to 1997 she served as the Administrative Assistant to the Director of Claims for CareAmerica Health Plans where she successfully supported not only the Claims Director but also a team of 10 Claims Managers, Team Leads and a department staff of over 175 personnel. During this same time period she also served as the Custodian of Records for the Risk Management Department overseeing all subpoenas related to Workers Compensation. 1997 to October 2002 Marge served as the Administrative Assistant to the Associate Vice-President for the 21St Century Insurance IT/IS Department supporting not only the AVP but also 8 Project Managers and over 100 IT/IS personnel. A few months shortly after the 1994 Northridge earthquake, Marge fell deeply in 'Love', after meeting the handsome and dashing (her words) Director of Security for the Trillium Business Office Complex at the Warner Center Woodland Hills, CA. Marge very quickly became both my miracle and 'Angel' in disguise and on February 14, 1995 Marge and Michael L. Tutko were engaged to be married. Michael and Marge F. Tutko were married on July 6, 1996 aboard the Cr uise Ship the Imagination in Miami, Florida and we began a wonderful and "Blessed Life" together as husband and wife. Her only dream was to own our own home so she would have the extra room for her beloved and most endeared Ragdoll cats (Memo and Mome) to roam and play. April 10, 1998 Marge and I purchased and moved into our own house in Canoga Park. Shortly after, Marge once again adopted her 3rd beloved Ragdoll cat Mimi. From day one of moving into our house Marge's heart was set on nothing less than converting our house into a home filled with love, happiness and beauty. She had many on-going hopes and dreams and now wanted a companion when Michael would be away from home working. In August of 1999 I gave Marge her wish and surprised her by purchasing and adopting her most precious and prized pet, our German Shepherd dog Max, who from day one became Marge's constant shadow, protector, and beloved, "Mommy's Boy". Many more dreams came true for Marge from 1999 up to the current time. Marge and Michael p oured their hearts and souls into their home. Together we put in a Japanese Koi Fish Pond with a rock waterfall containing 10 imported Japanese Koi for which Marge has special names for each and every one of them. Marge had good taste, great imagination and an eye for decorating her love and dedication molded our house into a home filled with love, joy and comfort. Marge also had a "Green Thumb", and could make anything grow she fully landscaped both the back and front yards with a variety of plants and flo wers. Her great joy and love were her Rose bushes with over 15 Jackson Perkins Award Winning Roses planted strategically by Marge with loving daily care and treatment. Marge, besides being a great decorator, gardener, and dedicated pet owner she was also a wonderful cook and baker. Our home was always filled with the delicious and scrumptious aroma of her specially prepared pot roasts, roasted chicken and my favorite her macaroni and cheese. Marge's cakes, pies and homemade cookies were always to die f or and you could never get enough. My favorite was her family's "Southern Style Egg Custard Pie" it simply melted in your mouth with each bite. She also loved growing her own vegetables and herbs and faithfully used them in all of her cooking and recipes. Marge poured nothing less than her love into everything she did from home improvements, to caring for her pets, to her garden. Marge was my Wife, my Life, my Love, my Happiness, my Joy, my Everything, but most of all My Friend! As we all know life is unpredictable with many uncertainties and so as all good things must come to and end, only because we are not put on this earth to live forever. Marge, the most precious Rose of my Life, was snatched from our garden of love by our Lord in Heaven and passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2008. With great sorrow and mourning my Baby, my Honey, my Angel has been called to the Lord's Heavenly Garden where there is no pain, sorrow or mourning but only eternal Peace, Joy and Happiness. She is survived by her mo st adoring and loving husband, Michael L. Tutko; daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Michael Denton; mother, Margaret Mary Davis; brother, Andrew Davis; sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Leonard Marinaccio; niece and nephews, Steve and Lupe Mervo, Dana Mendocilla, and Maria Marinaccio; and great nieces, Brittany and Kaylee Mendocilla. On her husband's side of the family she is survived by her brother-in-law, Ronnie P. Tutko (Pennsylvania); sisters-in-law, Susan Barna and Maryann Fiordelise (Pennsylvani a); niece and nephews from Pennsylvania, Christopher Barna, Ronnie and Katelyn Tutko, Ronald Chivinski (Connecticut), Joseph Nealis (Pennsylvania), Robert Barna (Moorpark, CA.). This includes many friends, neighbors, and people who will miss her very much. Last but not least she will be missed sorely and deeply of course by her beloved pets, Max Tutko our German Shepard her "Boy"; Memu, Mome, and Mimi our Ragdoll Cats; and all the Japanese Koi and especially her favorites Big Boy and Big Mama. There wi ll be a viewing at the Forest Lawn Mortuary in Hollywood Hills, Friday April 25, 2008 (Private Viewing 4:00 to 5:00 p.m., and Public Viewing 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. for friends, neighbors and associates). "God Grant Me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the Courage to Change the things I can, and the Wisdom to know the Difference." God Bless You my Angel. I Miss You and I will Love You each and everyday until my last breath and until we are in each other's arms again in God's Eternal Garden of Love.
