Mark W. Perring, 54 of Cullom, died on Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at 10:57 PM at his residence in Cullom.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Cullom United Methodist Church, with Pastor David Phillips officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 29, 2008 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the Martin-Burke Funeral Home in Cullom. Interment will be held at West Lawn Cemetery in Cullom, where full military rites will be accorded. Memorials in Mark's name may be left to a charity of the donor's choice.

Mark was born on March 5, 1954 in Pontiac, IL a son of William and Phyllis L. (Boeman) Perring.

He married Julie Diercouff on October 25, 1975 at the Cullom United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife: Julie Perring of Cullom, IL. Two daughters: Jamie (Jim) Miller of Aurora, IL and Nicole (Dave) Mills of Chatsworth, IL. His mother: Phyllis Perring of Cullom, IL. Four grandchildren: Jacob Thomas Mills, Austin James Miller, Nathan William Mills and Mackenzie Paige Miller. One brother: Bruce (Ruth) Perring of Chatsworth, IL, three sisters: Susan (Russ) Heald of Chatsworth, IL Norma Kerber of Chatsworth, IL, Melody (Michael) Bartus of Lockport, NY, several nieces and nephews and to many friends to count.

He was preceded in death by his father: William Perring, one niece: Jennifer Perring and his brother-in-law: P.J. Kerber.

Mark graduated from Tri-Point High School in Cullom.
He served our country in the United States Navy in the Navy Seabees Construction Battalion.
He was an Equipment Operator with P.T. Ferro in Joliet, IL.
He was extremely proud of his work and believed if you are going to do a job you do it right.
He was a member of the Cullom United Methodist Church. He felt most at peace and closest to God in the outdoors. He loved fishing and hunting and the calmness that being outside brought.
He loved his Harley. He was a great man and everyone he met became a friend. He was a wonderful husband and daddy and was happiest playing with his grandkids.
