Allen R. "Skip" Campbell, Sr., 61, of Cherokee Village, AR, formerly of Peoria, passed away at 3:55 p.m. on Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at home.

Allen was born on October 9, 1946 in Watseka IL., son of Ellis(Amos) and Leona (Pence) Campbell and was raised and attended schools in Gilman IL.

He married Lottie Langloss on August 30, 1968 in Peoria. She survives.
He is also survived by his son, Michael Campbell of Watertown, WI; daughter, Julie Cantway of Evening Shade, AR; brothers, Carl Templeman of Trinity, TX, Gerald Campbell of Green Valley, and James Campbell of Pekin; sisters, Sharon Hedrick of East Peoria and Jane Smith of Odin; and 6 grandchildren whom he adores very much.

His parents; one son, Allen Campbell, Jr.; and sister, Kathleen (Pudgie) Wofford, preceded him in death.

Allen was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Vietnam War.

Allen moved to Cherokee Village in 1994 from Roanoke, after retiring from Caterpillar's Mossville facility.

Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. on Sunday, November 11, 2007 at Clary Funeral Consultants in Peoria. Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m., prior to the service on Sunday. Graveside committal services and Military Honors will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, November 12, 2007 at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
