Not sure why Sarah and her twin sister, Elizabeth, were born in Winslow, Maine as the family resided in Liniere, Beauce, Quebec, Canada but they always insisted that they were born in Winslow. Sarah grew up in Liniere. She married Archibald Ray there in 1863. They did move their family to Winslow in about 1885. Archibald died in 1889 and she raised her family in Winslow. I believe she worked in the Lockwood Mills. At some point she moved to Mt Vernon, New York, where she lived with her daughter, Edna. She died there in 1925 and her body was taken back to Maine for burial in Pine Grove Cemetery.
