WAGON TRAIN PIONEER DEAD

Mrs. Margaret Ann Goodsell, widow of Frank J. Goodsell, who would have been 77 years of age New Years' day, died this morning in a local hospital.
She spent Friday with friends and relatives, apparently in the best of health but was stricken ill during the night, removed to the hospital at 6 o'clock this morning and died at 10:30 o'clock. She resided at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hendershot at 805 Twenty-fourth street.
Mrs. Goodsell came to Utah with a wagon train in 1862 and had resided in Ogden for 45 years. She was a member of the L.D.S. church in the Sixth ward.
The daughter of Samuel and Mary Cole Swanner, she was born January 15, 1854 at Council Bluffs, Iowa. Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Hendershot, one grandson and a great-grandson and the following brothers and sisters: Samuel Swanner, Teton, Idaho; Heber Swanner, Spanish Fork; Mrs. Emaline Staker, Burley, Idaho.
Funeral arrangements, under the direction of Larkin and Sons will be announced later.
