Husband of Betty Buker. Moved to Gardiner, Kennebec, Maine as a small boy. Played football for Gardiner High School, when he was sidelined by an injury he enlisted in the Army on 13 Nov 1943. He served under Maj. General Maurice Rose in the tank corp (33rd Regiment, 3rd Armored Division), and was killed (at age 19) on the push to Cologne, Germany on 2 Mar 1945.
