Catherine Helen Gross, 83, of 51 Middle St., Locustdale, passed away Monday at her residence.
Born in Locustdale, Nov. 21, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Leona Reese Proctor.
She attended Conyngham Township High School and was employed as a presser for the former Locustdale Manufacturing Company until its closing.
She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church, Mount Carmel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph "Rump" Gross, in February 1996; and brothers, Joseph, William, Gerald and Francis Proctor.
Surviving are a son, John E. Gross and his wife, Dorothy, Locustdale; grandsons, John R. Gross and his wife, Leeanne, Locustdale, and James Gross, Pottsville; a great-granddaughter, Randi Gross, Locustdale; a great-grandson, Brandon Artz, Locustdale; sisters, Rosemary Kroh, Locustdale, Jeanette Ermert, Ashland, and Rita Hughes, Pennsville, N.J.; and nieces and nephews.
Interment will be in Brock Cemetery, Ashland. Richard W. Fritz Funeral Home, Ashland, is in charge.
