Adolph Joseph Anderson, 80, of Richmond, Texas, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2008, in Richmond. He was born Sept. 1, 1927, in Booth, Texas, to Joe and Bessie Laskoskie Anderson.

Funeral services were 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, 2008, at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg. Interment followed at Morton Cemetery in Richmond. The Rev. Byron Williamson officiated the services.

Visitation was 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15, 2008, in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg.

Adolph was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Bessie Anderson; son, James "Jamie" Anderson; and sister, JoAnna Abschneider. He is survived by three daughters: Nancy Nowak and husband, Brian, Amy Beal and husband, Joey, and Wendy DeBusk and husband, John; two brothers, Walter Anderson and wife, Jerlene, and Edwin Anderson and wife, Loyce. Adolph was the loving grandfather of Zachary and Nicholas Nowak, and Brandon and Madison Beal.

Adolph served in the U.S. Army. He worked for the Fort Bend County Precinct 1 as a drag-line operator. Adolph enjoyed fishing, reading western and military novels and going on bus trips to Louisiana.
