Mrs. Ada L Coker Dies on Long Island,Aged 77
Mrs.Ada Louise Coker of Brooklyn,widow of Edward Coker and a native of this city,died Monday at the home of her son - in - law and
daughter,William G and. Dorothy. Bushel,North. Port,L.I.,aged 77 years
9 months and 7 days.
Mrs. Coker was a daughter of the late. Rev. Reuben and Rebecca née
Hoffman ,Deisher and left this city about 50 years ago.Her father was an
Evangelical minister here for many years. She was a graduate of Allentown High School.
Besides her daughter,Mrs. Dorothy Bushell there survive three grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at the Wonderly Funeral Home1119 Hamilton St. at 3 P.M.,ThursdayInternment in Allentown Cemetery0,Fountain and
Linden Sts.
Addendum :
Ada was also predeceased by her son Edward R Coker Jr.(1925 ) and
two siblings who died in childhood Francis(1854) and Ursula(1860). Her grandfather,
Rev. Francis A. Hoffman was also a renowned Elder in the Eastern Conference of the Evangelical Church, His ministry took him to several counties ,among them Berks,Philadelphia and Schuylkill
