Jeff Clark, 17 of Smoot died Monday at 4:30 p.m. in a Salt Lake City hospital of infection stemming from injuries sustained in a motorcycle-car accident June 1.
Funeral services will be Friday at 1 p.m.
The accident happened on US Highway 89 when Clark's southbound motorcycle was struck by a northbound car driven by Todd Raymond Stonemark, 24 of Green River Wyo. Clark's leg was torn off at the knee and he had other serious injuries. Although the leg was amputated, gangrene infection was the cause of death.
Stonemark was cited with four violations at the scene of the accident, according to Wyoming Highway Patrolman Lynn Clark.
These included driving withe under the influence of alcohol and driving while under suspension and two other violations.
After pleading noto contendre to all charges, he was sentenced by Justice of the Peace Robert Spears of Kemmerer. His fine was $340 and 80 days in jail, said Lincoln County attorney O.D. Gardner. He is serving his sentence in Kemmerer.
Further charges of negligent homicide were filed Thursday in Third District Judicial Court, said the attorney.
Clark's parents are Mr and Mrs Delbert Clark of Smoot.
Also injured int he accident was Miss Ludean Schwab, 18, of Smoot. Skin grafts on her foot are doing well and she is expected home from her Salt Lake City hospital in about two weeks reported her family.

Services were held July 15 at the Smoot ward Chapel with Samuel Helm, counselor in the bishopric, officiating. Jeff was buried in the Smoot Cemetery.
Jeff was born Dec 1, 1959 in Afton to Mr and Mrs Delbert S. Clark of Smoot. He was a good worker-he milked his first cow when three-and-a-half years old and helped straw bales at the age five when his father was hospitalized. He lived in Smoot all his life except for one and a half years in Las Vegas, Nev.
He loved the out-of-doors, horses, hunting, farming, logging and all types of machine work. He worked parts of three summers planting trees for Everett Peterson. He also worked for Stanley Reeves and assisted his father on the farm.
He learned welding skills at school
He was an honor student at Star Valley High School, where he completed his junior year, and belonged to the National Honor Society. When younger he belonged to 4-H and enjoyed entering his livestock in the county fairs.
Jeff was a priest in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a former president of the deacon's quorum, attended three years at the LDS Seminary and played basketball on his ward team. He was secretary of his priest's quorum at the time of his death.
He acted in church road shows and danced in the stake dance festival. He was active in his church and his love for the gospel grew immensely after his accident, his parents report. They also said he was very grateful for all the doctors and nurses did for him, as well as for all the cards and letters sent to him and the prayers offered in his behalf.
He is survived by his parents Delbert s and Joy Clark; sisters Mrs Tex (Dalene) Wolfley of Freedom, Mrs Tom (Janell) MacElwee of Huston, Tex,; brothers Ken of Fairview, Ed of Osmond and Todd of Smoot; and grandmother Mrs Cleora Skinner of Las Vegas, Nev.
