Weldon L. Fleck died Mar. 3, 1982 at his home in Abingdon. He was a carman for Burlington Northern Railroad for 30 years, retiring Nov. 1, 1974. He had been a Galesburg area resident since 1946.
Born April 3, 1923, in West Decatur, Pa., a son of Joseph and Roxie Schimmel Fleck. He married Ginger Carrico in Swan Creek on Oct. 2, 1947.
Surviving are one brother, Duane of Tuscon, Ariz.; three sisters, Mrs. Vivian Parks of Phillipsburg, Pa., Mrs. Catherine Lumadue of West Decatur, Pa., and Mrs. Esther Shaw, Curwensville, Pa.
Mr. Fleck was a member of Trinity Lutheren Church, past post commander of VFW, Alpha Lodge 155, AF&AM, Moline Consistory and American Legion. He was a World War II Army veteran, having served as a Medic during the Battle of the Bulge
