Edro Sargent, 75, died Wednesday, August 6, 2008 in Grace Health Care in Abingdon, Virginia.
He was born in Russell County, Virginia, son of the late Drayton Elmer and Grace Combs Sargent. He was preceded in death by one son, Harold Deane Sargent; four brothers, Gaylord Sargent, Kermit Sargent, Woodrow Sargent, and Joe Sargent. He was a member of Rings Chapel Church in Castlewood, Virginia.
He is survived by two sons, Joe Sargent of Charlotte, North Carolina and John David Sargent of Castlewood, Virginia; one sister, Lena Raxter of Danridge, Tennessee; one brother, Randell Sargent of Bristol, Tennessee; two grandsons, Adam Sargent of Charlotte, North Carolina and Nicholes Sargent of Castlewood, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Edro Sargent will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 7, 2008 in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, Virginia with Rev. Virgil Musick officiating. Committal Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 8, 2008 in Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, Virginia. The family will meet at the funeral home and go in procession to the cemetery leaving at 10:30 a.m. Friday. Pallbearers will be Nephews.
