A memorial Mass for Mark J. "Satch" Sander, 55, of Bradley, will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Saturday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 225 East Greenwood Street, Morton. Cremation rites will be accorded. Memorials for his son's education may be made to the Mark Sander Memorial Fund, Heartland Bank, 1023 West Jackson Street, Morton, IL 61550. Lax Mortuary, Kankakee, is in charge of arrangements.

He died Tuesday (Aug. 12, 2008) at Riverside Medical Center, Kankakee.

Mr. Sander had worked as a meat cutter for 25 years at Eagle Food and Del-Farm. He was born Nov. 17, 1952, in Peoria, the son of Edmond and Mary Frances Fuertges Sander.

He attended the Spalding Institute in Peoria. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley. He was a musician and played the bass guitar in several bands in Peoria and Kankakee. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, WWF, the Boston Celtics, and collecting Three Stooges memorabilia.

Surviving are one son, Zachary Sander of Bradley; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Joseph and Patricia Sander of Bourbonnais, Gregory and Sylvia Sander of Morton; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Deceased are his parents and one sister, Regina Ann Sander-Whitmore.
