Woodland, IL - Donald H. Rudisill, 77, of Woodland, Ill., passed away at his home on Saturday, August 9, 2008.
He was born Saturday, June 20, 1931, in Lincolnton, NC, to Clarence and Essie Houser Rudisill.
On July 3, 1955, he married the former June M. Osterhous in Watseka; she passed away on May 6, 2006.
Mr. Rudisill worked as a maintenance person for the City of Watseka for over 30 years; he was of the Christian faith and enjoyed fishing, gardening, hunting, and music.
Surviving Mr. Rudisill are one son, Dana Rudisill of Woodland; three brothers and five sisters-in-law, Robert and Pat Rudisill of Kentland, IN, Harold and Barb Rudisill of Sheldon, Ill., Homer and Irene Rudisill of Florida, JoAnn Rudisill of Watseka, and Dorothy Rudisill of Watseka; one sister, Carolyn McCarty of Watseka; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, two brothers, and four sisters.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2008, at Baier Funeral Home in Watseka, from 4-8 pm, and also one hour prior to the funeral service on Thursday.
Funeral service for Mr. Rudisill will be held at 11 am on Thursday, August 14, 2008, at the funeral home with Pastor Joseph Hughes officiating.
Burial will follow in the Body Cemetery in Woodland.
