Pierz - Cornelius J. Langer, 68, 313 First Ave NE, died Wednesday at St. Gabriel's Hospital, Little Falls.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Cornelius Langer was born June 18, 1918, in Pierz to John and Mary Langer. He married Lucille A. Gruber May 14, 1947, in St. Joseph Catholic Church. He leased the First Standard Oil Station in Pierz 32 years ago and opened the auto body shop, whe he operated for 25 years, until his retirement three years ago. He was a member of St. Joseph Society and Pierz American Legion.

Surivors include his wife; sons and daughter, Raymond and Mrs. David (Teresa) Groppoli, St. Paul; Neil, White Bear Lake; brothers and sisters, John, Howard Lake; Herbert, Virginia, MN; Mrs. Angeline Gilbride, Pierz; Mrs. Marie Weiss, Minneapolis; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Alex, Alphonse and Virgil.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Gilbride, Brian and Paul Gruber, Alex, Dean, Glen and James Langer and Tom Stoll.
