She was born September 16, 1965 in Chicago Illinois, the daughter of Thomas and Marjie Aardema Zmuda.
She is survived by her parents of rural Danforth, one sister, Denise of Urbana: one brother, John of Ft. Pierce Fla.: and her maternal grandparents, Gerriet and Elizabeth Aardema of Phoenix,Ariz. and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Joseph B. and Harriet Zmuda.
Michele graduated from Gilman High School with the class of 1983. She was employed at Leo's On The River restaurant, Kankakee. She previously worked as a nurses aide at the Gilman Nursing Home and the Clifton hospital.
She attended the Assumption Catholic Church, Ashkum.
A funeral mass was held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Assumption Catholic Church,Ashkum, with the Rev. James A. Holup officiating. Burial in the Danforth Cemetery with pallbearers, Sean & Tom Donahue,Chuck Irwin,Chris Ishmiel, Doug Hanes and Bill Short.
