Joseph Anthony BERNARDO JR.
Born February 15, 1953 in Wilmington, DE passed away May 15 in Deer Park, TX at the age of 46. Owner of Longhorn Tire Company in Pasadena, TX since 1983, he was an avid golfer where he held membership at Baywood County Club in Pasadena. Joe was a member of St. Hyacinth Catholic Church, Deer Park and the University of Houston Alumni Association. He received his Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Houston. He was preceded in death by his mother, Josephine Bernardo and sister, Mary Ann Panasewicz. He is survived by his living wife, Kim Renee Bernardo of Deer Park, TX; father, Joseph Anthony Bernardo, Sr. of Wilmington, DE; step-children, Scott Andrew Blair and Ashley Renee Blair of Deer Park and Denise Bridges of League City, TX; brother, Dennis Bernardo of Baltimore, MD; step-grandson, Christopher Bridges; godmother, Antoinette Welsh of Houston, TX; several other relatives and a host of friends. In lieu of usual remembrances memorials in memory of Joe may be made to the University of Houston Athletic Department, 4800 Calhoun Rd., Houston, TX 77021. Visitation was held after 10 am Monday at Pasadena Funeral Chapel with the family present from 6:30-8 pm. Funeral Mass was 3 pm Tuesday, May 18 at St. Hyacinth Catholic Church, 2921 Center St., Deer Park with Msgr. Elmer Quinters officiating. Entombment will follow at Grand View Memorial Park.
