Albert J. Abrachinsky, Jr., 80, of Pottsville, died Thursday, July 31, 2008 in Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center.
Born in Pottsville, July 04, 1928, he was a son of the late Albert J., Sr. and Sophie Oschman Abrachinsky.
Albert graduated from Pottsville High School.
He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran.
Albert was a Bricklayer prior to retiring in 1990.
He was a member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers, Local 47.
In addition to his parents, Albert was preceded in death by his daughter: Joan Baumann; his sister: Sister Alberta Dolores, IHM; his brother: Joseph Abrachinsky; and, his nephew: Kevin Frederick Leibel.
Surviving are his wife of almost thirty-nine years: Jennie N. Ross Abrachinsky; his daughters: Sandra wife of Glenn Webber of Tuchahoe, New Jersey and Leona wife of Steve Matz of Pottsville; his son: Leo husband of Donna Walchak of Liverpool; his eight grandchildren; his eleven great-grandchildren; his sister: Mary Anne wife of Norman Leibel of Greentown; and, his niece: Kimberly Leibel of Greentown.
There will be no calling hour Monday evening, August 04, 2008.
Family and friends are invited to call from 09:30 - 10:30 AM on Tuesday, August 05, 2008 in Schlitzer - Allen - Pugh Funeral Home, Incorporated, Pottsville. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 11:00 AM in St. Patrick Church.
Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
