COOKEVILLE Funeral services for George C. Meadows, Jr., 77, of Cookeville were held on Saturday, Oct. 5, from the Cookeville Funeral Home. Burial was in Crestlawn Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Meadows died on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2002, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
He was born May 14, 1925, in Detroit, Mich., to the late Cecil Clime and Gertrude Lucinda Dyer Meadows. Mr. Meadows was a member of the West View Baptist Church.
His family includes his wife, Lesterene D. Meadows of Cookeville; a daughter and soninlaw, Patsy and Roger Whitson of Cookeville; a son, Bobby Meadows of Chattanooga; three grandchildren: Terrie Dyer, Sherrie Gilley, and Capt. Grant Meadows; and three greatgrandchildren.
